However, Sweden said that a Discovery Network documentary about the disaster included new underwater video images from the wreck site showing damage on the starboard side of the wreck. “Estonia, Finland and Sweden have agreed that verification of the new information presented in the documentary will be made,” the foreign ministers of the three countries said in a joint statement on Monday. “Our countries will cooperate closely in t...

Tom Cotton transfer of power, Trump backers say he’s not undermining confidence

Tom Cotton transfer of power, Trump backers say he’s not undermining confidence. Allies of President Donald Trump expressed support Sunday for his refusal to commit to a peaceful transfer of power and advanced his points sowing doubt in the reliability of this year's election. Trump shook Washington last week when he declined multiple times to commit to a peaceful transition, opting instead to lambaste mail-in voting as an open floodgate to voter fraud. The president has repeated claims that Democrats and foreign agents alike are working to steal the election, despite his own intelligence community determining there is no such threat. Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.), a staunch Trump ally, defended Trump on Sunday by claiming Democrats were projecting in their assessment of the president's intentions. He said Trump would accept the results if the courts settle a contested election or if the results are clear on election night. "We've been transferring the office of the ...
